"Psychology is part of the problem and not the solution." - Marco M.

Psychology is part of the problem and not the solution.

I hear more and more often, as if it were normal, of people taking medication or regularly visiting psychologists and psychoanalysts.

I have strong doubts about the idea that digging into the unconscious is beneficial, much less that sitting down is the solution. It is clear to me from personal experience that once you are able to observe and detach yourself from the mind you are no longer floating adrift and it doesn't matter what is "inside", you are simply able to see it and not let yourself be influenced too much. "Within" we have potentially everything, a Ghandi and a Pol Pot, the blue fairy and the evil witch, a sex maniac and a delicate and kind person.

I am sure that with a small, simple and cost-free recipe, every problem would be solved and psychologists would eventually be left to treat the very small percentage of people who have actual pathologies. While today it's clear that the suggested direction is that all healthy people are potentially sick and must therefore be treated.

The recipe? Twenty minutes a day of contemplative practice, a very physically demanding practice that leads to a conspicuous sweating, to stop complaining, to have a flesh, blood and bones friend to chat with.
