Seekers of the Spirit.

There is only one thing that can differentiate an animal from a human being and that is not intelligence. There is only one thing that can differentiate an artificial intelligence from a human being. Of course, it's not intelligence.
Descartes' "cogito ergo sum," on which the modern scientific palimpsest of human identity still rests, is just bullshit. It is clear that to "be" it is not enough to have rational thoughts. 

What differentiates us is the presence of that element that we could call "spirit" or "soul", perceptible only from a lateral dimension, which is not demonstrable in scientific terms yet it can be observed through direct personal experience. The lateral dimension is an altered state of consciousness where some things are lost and others are more easily perceived.
